LInda Hunsperger

In Loving Memory

Hunsperger, Linda S. (nee Bresler)

September 20, 1950 - June 9, 2023

Passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of Michael Hunsperger for nearly 52 years, loving mother to Kevin (Lisa) Hunsperger of Carterville, Illinois, and Jason (Marisol) Hunsperger of Carrollton, Texas, and Memaw to Ethan, Mason, Carolina, Brooke, and Chace Hunsperger.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Betty Bresler. Other survivors include brother Harry (Diane) Bresler, sister Donna Bresler, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends around the country.
Linda graduated from Roosevelt High School and spent most of her life as a caregiver and volunteer. She was active in her children’s school and extracurricular activities, whether serving as PTO President, Den Mother, or cheerleader from the sidelines.
In 2000, Linda took on another role, one that she was also  exceptional at–Memaw. With five grandchildren, she couldn’t spend enough time with them, and of course, those visits included plenty of homemade treats, including her famous Christmas cookies, a tradition passed on to her grandkids.
After retiring, Linda and Michael traveled worldwide, making new memories with family and friends. They frequently traveled to Illinois and Texas to spend precious time with their children and grandchildren.
It’s those moments that ‘Team Hunsperger’ will cherish forever. We love you, Memaw, and thank you for improving our world.

A celebration of life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org) or Shriners Children’s St. Louis | Children’s Hospital (shrinerschildrens.org)
