Hurley

In Loving Memory

Hurley, Gloria Eileen

Gloria Eileen Hurley, 91, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on June 13, 2024.  She was born August 16, 1932, to Joseph Patrick and Mary Josephine Hurley (nee Vorbeck).  She is proceeded in death by and her sisters, Marie Sainz (Russell),  Kathleen (Theodore) Tryniecki, and Lorraine (Harold) Warren and her nephew James Sainz.

Eileen enjoyed her sisters and was an active and beloved member of their families. She championed and was a positive voice in the lives of her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, friends, and colleagues throughout her life. After retiring from a lifelong career working for the Army Corps of Engineers, she earned her associates degree in Veterinary Medicine to fulfill her lifelong desire to help and care for animals. Eileen loved and enjoyed all animals, but especially dogs, with whom she had a very special affinity. She was an avid reader, superior crocheter, poet and a good friend. We will miss her kindness, her intelligent and quick sense of humor, and the light that she brought to our lives.

Private gravesite memorial services will be held to honor Eileen Hurley. Charitable donations may be sent to the American Heart Association in her memory.
