In Loving Memory

James, Helen Theressia

Helen Theressia James was born in Little Rock, AR to Julius C and Mary Louise Clay on June 9, 1950. The family moved to St. Louis when Helen was very young. She attended Sumner Senior High where she was a member of one of the choirs. She accepted Christ when she was young and later became a member of Calvary MB Church.
Helen worked for 25 years at US Bank and later she enjoyed working as a Service Writer for Walmart where she became a friend to many and momma to a bunch.
Helen was packed with wisdom and knew things before they would happen. She said, “I see two baby boys”, and within that year two grandsons were born.
Family was everything to her. Holidays, birthdays, and any other special occasions. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids. She would sit at the pool for hours with them having fun or in the kitchen making a mess. She made it to any event they were in whether she had to sit on the bleachers in late fall or in the pews at church, she was there for support with the biggest smile, saying that’s Granny’s baby.
Momma, Granny, Baby Sister, or Auntie is what we called her. She has now reunited with her parents, the love of her life Maurice, and her son Christopher (Booghie) James.
Those left to cherish her memory: Brothers – Rev. Dr. Julius C Clay Jr. (Denise) and Rev. Howell F Clay Sr. (Pamela); Children -Angela Moore (Antwon), Alando Dixon (Danielle Dillard), Brian James (Amanda); Daughter in law: Katrina French; Grandchildren – Trinity, Avia, Zayden, Gabrielle, Jonathan, Celest; Step-father: Earle Mitchell; Niece and Nephews – Howell Jr, Edwin, Benjamin, Kimberly; coming attraction great-granddaughter Salem; and a host of other family and friends.

SERVICES: Visitation at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 2822 Dr. Martin Luther King Dr., 63108, Wednesday, February 2, 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am. Private interment. A KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE.
