Jarrett, Virginia “Ginny”

January 28, 1924 - October 17, 2024

Virginia “Ginny” Jarrett, age 100 passed Thursday, Oct 17th, 2024 following a brief illness due to a fall.

She leaves a stepson Jim Jarrett and wife Cathy, 3 grandchildren Margie Allen, Phil Jarrett and Julie Tevlin, and 3 great grandsons, Leo, Miles and Cillian Tevlin, as well as nieces and nephews and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Earnest Chastain of 29 years and James Jarrett of 31 yrs.

Ginny worked as a secretary for many years and was proud to be with a company involved in the building of the St. Louis Arch. She is known for her creative needlework and cooking, sassy personality and overall energy and spunk. Up until her fall she was very active, attended church services and loved her bingo games, visits from the great grandsons, church friends and her friends at Friendship Village.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Lemay Church of Christ.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 LEMAY FERRY RD on Friday, October 25 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.  A short memorial service will be held afterward.
