Jenkins-203x300

In Loving Memory

Jenkins, Mary Gail

On Saturday April 8, 2023. Loving wife of the late Louis Wayne Jenkins. Beloved mother of Lisa (Marko Trivundza) Tolbird, Gary (Susan Jean), Patrick (Sandra) and Larry (Phyllis) Jenkins and Gloria Middendorf. Cherished grand mother of Brandy, Keith, Amy, Mary, David, Cathy, Vanessa, Ashley, Sarah and Paige.

Mary Gail Jenkins was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, foster mother and friend to so many.  She never met a stranger she didn’t make part of her family if even for a short time.  Gee Gee, as she was so lovingly known by family and friends, loved every opportunity to spend time with family, animals, and the people she loved.  She was a 22yr survivor of a heart transplant, that only 10% of transplant recipients live to see.  She was strong and wise, but gentle and comforting.  Holding a new member of the family, hugging the neck of those that have been around forever or just sharing good news with her made her so happy.  She loved to collect pretties, as she called them, eat Mexican every chance she got, watch crime shows, care for every animal that crossed her path wild or not, and spend time with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Her passing will be felt by so many, and she never had an idea of the affect she had on those she met, and her heart wasn’t big enough to hold all the love she had to give.  Gee Gee we love you.

In Lieu of flowers, Mary has asked that a donation be made in her name to Stray Rescue of St Louis, so her passion for loving animals can be carried on. Donations can be made in Mary’s name at http://strayrescue.org/Mary-Jenkins

Services: A memorial service will be held at Kutis South County (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Saturday April 29, at 12 Noon.

  1. I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss. Gail was so good to my sister Sheri and I’m so thankful for that. She is now reunited with Wayne. We will see her again one day
