Johns, Catherine A. “Cathy”, On Friday February 25, 2022. Beloved mother of Ricky and the late Theresa Johns. Loving daughter of Jay and the late James Salsman Sr. Beloved grandmother of Gabriella Johns. Dearest sister of James Jr. (Ellen) Salsman, Mary (Ed) Haar, Dianne (Mark Watts) Salsman, Joe (Karen) Salsman and Mike (Kathleen) Salsman. Our dear Aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Cathy graduated from Fox High School in 1978. Attended St. Louis Univ. on a softball scholarship and received her bachelors degree. She received her nursing degree from Washington Univ. and worked at Barnes Jewish for 37 years. She retired as a charge nurse in the neuro-intensive care unit. Cathy’s greatest enjoyed many was spending time with her family and attending Fox football games and St. Louis Cardinal games. And most of all spending time with her grand child.
A memorial mass will be held at St. David Catholic Church (Arnold, Mo) On Thursday March 3, 2022 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to the American Heart Assn. or St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital appreciated.

I played softball with Cathy-CJ and worked with m have very fond memories playing volleyball swimming and barbecuing with Cathy Jo,Theresa ,and Ricky She was the bubbliest most energetic person I ever knew!She also made the best Pasta con Broccoli and the best Whiskey Sour . I also just found out about Teresa’s passing. They both left this world way too young

Cathy was always so happy and cheerful I was in her and joe wedding and was at her daughters funeral was last time I saw her a lovely person
