Johnson, Douglas Richard

Douglas Richard Johnson  born July 20, 1944 in Wilmont, Minnesota passed February 23, 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri.  Dear husband of Donna (nee: Warner) Johnson; dear dad of Lisa (Paul) Troupe of Plainfield, Indiana and Wade (Erica) Johnson of Richardson, Texas; dear grandpa of Kyle (Krista), Samuel (Emmalyn), Aaron, Zaylynn and Julian; dear son of the late Alvin and Jean Johnson; dear brother of Brad (Marietta) Johnson, Loren (Denise) Johnson, Lynda (Lynn) Grafing and Kevin (Lori) Johnson.

Doug was raised in Rock Rapids, Iowa; retired military 20 years in the United States Air Force , stationed in France, England, Hawaii, Albuquerque, New Mexico, the Netherlands and Lubbock, Texas.  Doug loved to serve his church, golf, playing cards, watching sports and travel.  He loved his friends and family, and had a strong faith in the Lord.

Memorial Service at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church 4353 Butler Hill Road St. Louis, MO 63128 March 18, 2023, 10am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to  de Greeff Hospice House or Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, appreciated.

  13. I was very sorry to hear this news. While I never had the pleasure of meeting him I always remember hearing about him from our grandma Hilda Shelquist. He and his wife always kept in touch with my parents at Christmas time.
