In Loving Memory

Joiner, Martha Eunice (nee Burris) 

94, of St. Louis, MO passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 10, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vernice (nee Evans) Burris, her sisters Helen Galanos, Naomi Burris, Doris Whittle, and her brother Jim Burris.

Eunice was the beloved mother of Carrol (Ann) Joiner and “Nanny” to her grandchildren, Deanna, Cari and Mark and great-grandchildren, Randy, Sara, Katlyn and Jacob and great-great-grandchildren Austin and Cameron.

She is also survived by her sisters Kathleen Battles, Sue Ray, Lou (Aubra) Mattingly, Jeanie Wheeler and her brother Charles (Mary) Burris.

Eunice was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a beautiful, strong, independent woman with a heart of gold. She was always there for anyone who needed her. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and dressing up for any occasion. She truly lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for her kindness and compassion for all and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

One final act of kindness was donating her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine, contributing the gift of knowledge.
