  3. Joe was a wonderful friend to my brother, Jay, for many years after they met in high-school. It was always fun to see him when our family got together with him, especially after Jay moved out of town. Joe was a very talented picture framer, and we have beautiful family photos that he framed hanging in our stairwell. We will miss him, and send our deepest condolences to Sam and all of Joe’s family and friends.

Joe was a true brother to Jay, and he will be greatly, greatly missed. My heartfelt sympathy to all who love him.

  7. I can’t express how much Joe meant to me. To know him was to love him. He was always there for me when I needed a brother, a friend or confidant. Joe is central to nearly all of my fondest memories of young adulthood Although Iwill miss him terribly. I am grateful for all the beautiful memories of the past 45 years of the finest friend I’ll ever have.

My deepest condolences to Sam and Joe’s family. Thank you especially to Joe’s sister Ann for her great kindness.

  11. While the memories I have of Joe being around at gatherings at my grandparents house during my childhood are like photos one may go through from time to time, as an adult, I remember Joe being Jay’s loyal compadre who joined us at Hacienda gatherings and had offered Jay a place to stay while he was in town. The way Joe interacted with our son was as if the two of them were schoolmates and had not just met. My thoughts and sympathies go out to all of his family and friends.

  13. In 2018 my niece and I visited Joe at Korzendorfer & Bick because my great grandfather was co-founder Benjamin Korzendorfer. I wanted to thank him for carrying on the proud and excellent framing tradition. He was thrilled to receive copies of my family history and to put faces to names. I was thrilled to receive his info regarding the company history. And it was so special to exchange photos and hugs! In 2019 he framed my wedding photos so I could have a current K & B frame and sticker in my home ( I have other antique ones here). In the last few months I’ve felt a spiritual need to reach out to Joe to touch base, and now I find that not only is the store no more, dear sweet Joe has passed. Sigh ….. If anyone in the family could contact me, I’d love to hear what happened. And about what happened to one of the original store signs. He may have left you 3 years ago, but for me the sadness is just now being felt. My sincere love goes to the family and to all who loved him.
