Kasten, Marian Elvira

dedicated wife of the late Albert Kasten, peacefully defeated cancer when she joined her Lord and Savior, on Monday, May 28, 2018. Marian was born June 17, 1929, in Shawneetown, MO to Rev. J. H. C. and Marie (nee Lentz) Sieck, who preceded her in death.  She was baptized into the Christian faith at St. Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown, MO, confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jackson, MO.  Also preceding her in death was her siblings John (Gib), Ervin, Ruth, Mildred and Eloise.  She married Albert W. Kasten on May 22, 1949 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, MO.  Marian and Albert shared 53 1/2 loving years of marriage until his death in 2002.  Marian was the mother of Brenda (Jim) Brege, Sandra (Jun) Flores and Bradley (Natalie) Kasten. Grandmother of 8 grandchildren, Albert (Pam) Flores, Marianita (Troy) Baldwin, Victoria (Adam) Lauer, Anne (Mitchell) Owens, Ben Kasten, Gregory (Kayla) Kasten, Stephanie Brege and Paul Kasten. Great grandchildren Malana and Koa Baldwin, Matthew and Christopher Owens, Abigail and Noah Lauer.

Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, on Thursday, May 30 from 5-8pm. Then taken to Laclede Groves Chapel,723 S. Laclede Station Rd. on Friday for funeral service at 10am. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Memorials may be made ot Peace Lutheran Church, 727 Barracksview Rd. 63125, Concordia Seminary, 801 Seminary Pl. 63105, or Laclede Oaks Benefactor Fund, 723 S. Laclede Station Rd. 63119, appreciated.
