On July 11, 2026, Floyd Lee Keil went ti join his father, mother, brother and nephew in Heaven. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Patricia E. Keil (nee Selsor), son to Floyd D. Keil (deceased), and Christine A. Keil (deceased), the treasured father to Elaine Holmes, the proud Gpa of Nicholas Holmes, Taylor Clark (Alexandra) and Raymond Rikimaru (Séylor) and great- grandpa to Jonah Holmes. He was the wonderful brother to John Keil (deceased) and Ronald Keil. He was the greatest uncle ever to David Keil (deceased-Jeanetta)Brian Keil (Spring), and Christine Dierkes (Mike), plus countless Selsor children and godfather to Justin Selsor.
He was a good man, a great friend and a wonderful husband and father. We are all better for having know him and he is truly missed.
Services; Visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Imperial, MO) on Wednesday July 15th from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM. Services conclude at church. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject).
The world lost another great man. He was my neighbor, my friend, and an inspiration to all who knew him. Rest easy my friend, Godspeed Floyd. It was an honor to know you.
I knew Floyd from Bucksnort shooting club in his later competitive years. Floyd cooked a fine pork steak, always a friendly smile, he had a way of making you feel at ease. He will be greatly missed.

I met Floyd at a rifle match in 2004 and found him to be a very pleasant man. Over the years meeting on the range at Bucksnort Rifle club we became friends and enjoyed chatting about riflery, hunting and his family farm near Iberia. We usually said ” so long” in October after the last match of the season and I always looked forward to the next spring when matches resumed. I didn’t get to the spring matches this year, so I missed seeing him. He was a fine gentleman and I will miss him and our conversations. His faith was an encouragement to me and we enjoyed sharing about family and faith. My wife and I offer our sincere condolences to his family.
I met Floyd in the early 70s at BUCKSNORT. Floyd was part of the war wagon boys. That’s what we call Doc Kamm’s Winnebago. I was a newbie. The war wagon boys helped me in my shooting partner begin at Bucksnort. Over the years I park my fifth wheel next to Floyd’s. Floyd and I became friends. If I brought something for the group to eat, Floyd would cook it. He cooked a mean pork chop. Floyd was the last one of us still shooting. I shall miss talking to him on the phone. Please accept my condolences? Rest in peace.
