Gerald Kelly

In Loving Memory

Gerard Joseph “Jerry” Kelly

December 31, 1955 - December 13, 2023

Beloved father of Tara Kelly, Elizabeth (Benjamin) Martinez and Rachel (Mathew) Ott, loving grandfather of Alyssa, Kaden, Jase, Kelly, Roman, Owen and Lennon, dear brother of Mary Fischer and Michael Kelly. Our dearest uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Jerry was known for his kind, gentle spirit. He was always one you could count on to help without any hesitation. Jerry worked for Sunnen Products Co. for over 30 years. He was a man of many hats, able to fix any and everything. He held many certificates from mechanics to plumbing to any trade skill you could imagine, but his favorite title was dad and grandpa. He loved his family fiercely. Unfortunately, he was dealt a bad hand in health, battling long term Lyme’s disease and depression which eventually lead to invisible ailments and symptoms which plagued him for decades. Although he was fighting battles most couldn’t see, he still had the amazing ability to “Smile with his eyes!” His role as a father and grandfather demonstrated unconditional love, strength, and loyalty. He fought hard, but in the end it wasn’t enough. He will be greatly missed by his three daughters and seven grandchildren. We find comfort knowing he is finally at peace in Heaven, enjoying his favorite Lay’s potato chips and a cold Pepsi. We will miss you forever and we will love you for always.

The family deeply appreciates your support during this time and highly suggests in lieu of flowers, please make donations on Jerry’s behalf to Lyme Disease.org, www.lymedisease.org or to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, www.afsp.org

Memorial visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Saturday, February 10 from 1:00 pm. until Memorial Service time at 4:30 pm. Inurnment at St. Peter Cemetery (Kirkwood) will be held in private.

  1. Jerry was always such a sweet, kind gentleman. I’ve gotten to know him again through our SGM Facebook page. I know he was in a lot of pain the last few years. At least we know he’s pain free and rejoicing with all his family and friends in heaven.❤️❤️❤️

  2. I worked with Jerry and we were great friends. Spent weekends at the lake of the Ozarks with other Sunnen friends. He was such a nice guy. Always there. May he rest in peace. A friend I will never forget. Love you buddy.
