December 28, 1933 - January 8, 2024

Joetta, 90, was born December 28, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri and died on January 8, 2024, in Houston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, half-brother and half-sister, children William Kern and Pamela Kern and her beloved husband of 36 years, Francis.

Joetta is survived by her children, Marie Kern of St. Louis MO, Ken and Ronda Kern (nee Rockrohr) of Baldwin City KS, Donald Kern of Montgomery TX, Barbara Darby of Pasadena TX, Dorothy and Mike Pigg of Pasadena TX, Robert Kern of College Station TX, and Colette Ramirez of LaPorte TX; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Louis and Marion Kern (nee Krug) of Kansas City MO, as well as many nieces and nephews and their families,

Viewing will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home – City Chapel, 2906 Gravois Ave., St. Louis MO. A Requiem Mass will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3140 Meramec, St. Louis MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
