  1. Tom and I were hired the same day. We worked together for 42 years and three months before I retired. Tom has been a great buddy for years. So sorry for your loss. He will greatly missed. He talked a lot about his grandkids.

  5. My name is Sherryl Schaeffer and I had the pleasure to work with Tom for 25+ years at Lewis. We became friends in short order upon my joining the company in April of 1985. In addition to being a conscientious, hard working, extremely skilled, and knowledgeable machinist, he was first and foremost a genuinely kind and caring human being to all.
Outside of the facility we always had a blast at the Lewis social functions; the holiday dinners, and particularly the annual family picnics, where he could often be found bright and early there helping to barbeque, to feed his friends and colleagues.
I’ll also never forget the times that my son, Tim, went over and helped coached Justin and Josh on their soccer skills. They were just but young boys, back in those days!
My sincere and heartfelt sympathies to you all for your loss. He was a good man.

  9. Tom and I were co-workers but most of all he was my friend. I am a city boy who knew nothing about antique tractors or farming until I met Tom Kleffner, now I have a shed full of tractors and old farm equipment, until we meet again my friend

  23. I’m so sorry for your loss. I worked with Tom for 8 years and he was a fantastic coworker…he taught me so much about his work when I was a new engineer, and after I had been there a while he became one of the best people to shake your head with and laugh at whatever craziness was going on that day. He’ll be missed.

  25. Tom was the most welcoming person I have ever known. My favorite memory of him was at my parents house in the early 1980s. I was 5 or so and he made us all ice cream by hand on the 4th of July I think. My heart goes out to Justin, Josh, Sarah and family. I will miss him

  27. Although I only knew Tom through Justin -I found him to be and
understanding and inovative man and he certainly passed those
    characteristics on to his children.
