It truly was an honor to be your Granddaughter, as I sit here and think of the words to say I am flooded with memories and stories. The world knew if you were there I could do no wrong because you would always save me.
When I was about 6 years old and wanted to spend the night in the little tykes castle in the backyard you made it happen even when I chickened out and went back inside you stayed. When you took me to my hunters safety course and knew just how to calm the fire in my eyes when the instructor said girls can’t hunt. To every fishing trip, bed time songs and ghost story your memory will live forever.
To some you were a father, a brother, an uncle, a friend, a mentor; but to me you were my papa. My big bad Marine, forever you will be.
He will be greatly missed, always loved, and never forgotten ❤️

Just as he did. Love you forever.
