Carol Elizabeth (Olson) Koeppel, age 89, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on October 18, 2026.
She was born on April 22, 1937 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to the late Ralph and Irene Lentz. She was adopted in 1947 by J. Arthur and Mabel Olson. She grew up in Monmouth, Illinois and attended Monmouth High School and Monmouth College.
Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her generous and kind heart. She was a talented pianist and spent her free time enjoying music, watching sports, traveling and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by:
- Her children: Vicki (Johnson) Lisa, husband Rick; Duane Johnson; Ronald Johnson; Nicole Koeppel
- Her grandchildren: Kristen (Lisa) Ray; Brittany (Lisa) Walker, husband Bryan; Ashley Johnson; Lauren (Johnson) Randall, husband David; Megan (Johnson) Ysaguirre, husband Corey
- Her 7 great-grandchildren; Lyla Ray, Addison and Maddox Walker, Berkeley and Blake Randall, and Steeley and Rhett Ysaguirre
A private family service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
