In Loving Memory

Komanetsky, Susan M.

January 13, 1962 - April 16, 2025

Susan M. Komanetsky, age 63, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, in Crane County, Texas.  Dear daughter of Mildred Komanetsky (nee Bartosz) and the late William Komanetsky.  Beloved sister of Mary Klix, Kathy (Gary) Bleitner, Bill Komanetsky, and Bob (Julie) Komanetsky.  Dear Aunt of Janet, John, Kathy, David, Joe, Maggie, Emily, Michael, and Lauren. Great Aunt to Lance, Oliver, Kyle, Bryce, Brooks, Luna, and Amelia in whom Susan took such delight!
Susan was wonderfully talented in painting and pottery.  She loved to travel, cook, hike, and be in the outdoors.  Science was her passion for the last 20 years.  She earned her M.S. in Nutrition Science from the University of Utah and in 2018 was awarded her Ph.D. from Purdue University.  Susan loved research, teaching, and working with patients to enhance their lives through better nutrition.  Most of all, she loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Saturday April 26 at 9 AM at Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church, 6737 S. Rock Hill Road, Affton, MO 63123. Funeral Mass to follow at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
