Charles (Charlie) James Koppel, 81, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, after battling a sudden health issue. He was born on July 15, 1943, in St Louis, Missouri. He was a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1961. He met the love of his life, Lynnette Heather Koppel (nee: Massey) while on R&R after proudly serving for the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. His wife Lynnette, also passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025. We pray they are now reunited once again. Charlie leaves behind two sons, Kenneth Arthur Koppel (Jennifer) and Stephen Charles Koppel (Trent) as well as 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He loved being a (ret) City of Ladue Fireman along with playing golf any chance he got. Charlie, a friend to many, will be sorely missed.

To: Lynn Love and Charlie, our best Mate and more importantly the BEST in-laws. Words cannot express how much we will miss you both. Living two doors away made it easy to go see you both whenever we wanted to, that we will definitely miss! Not to mention, you helped us raise our kids / your grandkids…. They will never forget what you both have done for them. We pray your at peace and that you’ve been reunited with one another. Remember, there’s no smoking in Heaven! Love and miss you both so much, now in Charlie’s words, “Tutaloo Mate”.
