Korff, Nancy Ann , a resident of Lewiston, NY for 27 years, died after a courageous fight
against cancer on December 3, 2016 at the age of 65. Born in St Louis,
Missouri on October 18, 1951 she moved to Lockport, NY in 1972 and
moved with her family to Lewiston, NY in 1989.
Family was everything to Nancy and her greatest joy came from
spending time with them. She would often travel long distances to be
of help to family or to just visit and spend quality time.
A self-reliant person, Nancy was also incredibly giving. She
possessed a strong work ethic, something she learned from her father
and passed along to her children and grandchildren. She maintained her
home and property almost entirely on her own. In the fall one would be
hard-pressed to find a leaf on her lawn. Before her illness forced her
to resign, Nancy was an employee of Bass and VanHeusen at the Niagara
Factory Outlets where she worked for 15 years. The time she spent
there gave her much satisfaction, enabling her to combine a love of
work with another love – shopping. If there was a deal to be found,
Nancy would find it, even if that meant purchasing Christmas presents 11 months in advance.
As was her wish, Nancy died in her home, surrounded by family. She
will be missed greatly by her mother Marilyn of St Louis, MO, son
Michael, his wife Crystal and their daughter Katie of Louisville, KY,
her daughter Donna, her husband Peter and their daughters Emma and Zoe
of Rochester, NY, siblings Lyn (John) Coburn, Sue (Edward) Bertram,
Mark (Liz) Bockius, Judy
(John) Nettler, David (Theresa) Bockius, and Donald (Donna) Bockius,
as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her father Eugene.
