  2. My condolences go out to Val, Ernie, Nick and all the rest of Mike’s family. I’m sure that Mike is now at peace in God’s heavenly kingdom. I regret losing contact with Mike over these past years, but I would like to say that it was a real blessing for me to have worked with Mike for over ten years. He was a skilled and knowledgeable plumber and he helped me to learn the trade. He was always helpful and generous with his time. He also impressed me as a faith-filled and holy man. This world was a better place for having him here.
    Rest in peace, Mike…

  5. My Father was a Renaissance Man. He did nothing typical. He was the sewer of the clothes. He didn’t like sports till much later in life when my Mother had finally had worn him down, because she loves baseball and football. He loved Art and classic music, birds of prey, weirdly wonderful foods, ( I am forever grateful I got his tastebuds). He couldn’t just be Catholic , he had to be Byzantine Catholic. He was wonderful, and he will be sorely missed. All of his children who are still on earth are grateful he was our Poppa.

I am sorry that I wil not be able to attend the visitation for Mike, especailly since members of your family were supportive of our family when Sr. Annette died a few years ago.

  7. Dearest Mary and family,
We send you our deepest sympathy during this very difficult time. We will keep all of you in our prayers.
    “Another leaf has fallen,
    another soul has gone.
But still, we have God’s promises,
    in every robin’s song.
For he is in His heaven,
    and though He takes away,
    He always leaves to mortals,
    the bright sun’s kindly ray.
    He leaves the fragrant blossoms,
    and lovely forest, green.
And gives us new found comfort,
when we on Him will lean.

  10. Hey Pop,
I know you are not Irish but i like the sentiment.

May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
    And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

  12. My brother Mike was endlessly interesting, from a string of unusual pets to the stilts he made for us, to his interests in art, history, science, religion, comic books, his bike adventures etc.! My childhood was so enriched by having him for a brother. The best thing about him though was his basic goodness. If anyone needed his help he was there for them no matter when or where or how tired he was. His tombstone should read:“Our world is a much better place because he was here.” Myself and my daughters greatly miss him.
