Baptized into the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection, Donna entered eternal life on July 28, 2026. Family was always closest to her heart: her beloved husband, Gerald Kroupa, daughter Lisa Burks and son-in-law Michael Burks, son Gerald Kroupa, Jr. and daughter-in-law Chris Kroupa, son Kevin (deceased), grandchildren Daniel Kroupa and his wife Madalyn, Connor Burks (deceased), Eric Kroupa, and Patrick Burks, brother Donald Sager and his partner Judy Siegel, sister Margaret Barr and her husband Eugene Barr, and brother Michael Sager and his wife Vickie Sager (deceased). Donna was also aunt and a dear friend to many.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Donna (nee Sager) graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended Webster College to prepare for a teaching career. She taught elementary school at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish school. Donna married Jerry, the love of her life, on November 29th, 1958, and children soon followed. She devoted her time to running the household and caring for her family. That included serving as a scout leader, room mother, and church volunteer. When Donna and Jerry became business owners, Donna went to work keeping the books and managing the office.
Donna loved to travel. She and Jerry enjoyed spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks and taking numerous trips throughout the United States and Europe. But she also loved coming home and spending time with those who mattered most–her family and friends.
SERVICES: A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church, 11011 Mueller Road 63123. Visitation will be held in the church beginning at 10:00 am. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Cardinal Ritter Senior Services.
