Lafser, Audrey Susan

 

Lafser, Audrey Susan (nee Kissel), of Affton, MO was born February 27, in 1926 in St. Louis, MO to the late Alma and John Kissel and entered into rest Sunday, March 19, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frederick A. Lafser Sr. and 6 siblings, Lillian, Ruth, Helen, William, Louis and Lester. She is survived by her 5 children, Kathleen (Roger) Riemann, Frederick (Jeanne) Lafser Jr., Eileen (Gary) Wilson,   Daniel (Linda) Lafser, Colleen Forrest; cherished 9 grandchildren, Kari, Tyson, Jesse, Garen, Nathan, Justin, Kristi, Michael and Sarah; 9 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Aubrey, Andrew, Michael, Eleanor, Olivia, Alexia and Sebastian.

Audrey was a member all her life of Unity Church of Peace in Lemay. She also played baseball in 1942 for the All-American Girls’ Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL). Audrey  had an unconditional love for everyone and loved feeding everyone. She adored her children, grand and great-grandchildren who in turn loved and adored her right back. She will be fondly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services: Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Thursday, March 23, 9 a.m. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Contributions to Unity Church of Peace, 3701 Bayless Ave., St. Louis, MO 63125 appreciated. Visitation Wednesday, March 22 from 3-8 p.m.
