June 6, 1933 - June 27, 2025

Lilly “Marie” Lamb passed away peacefully June 27, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Lamb, Sr. Devoted mother of Janet (Daniel) Sohn, the late Thomas, Jr. (Paula Gaertner), Jeannine Lamb (Mark Schade), and Ann Lamb. Dear grandmother of Hayley Branch, Cecily James, Michael Lamb and Sophia Lamb. Dear great-grandmother of Elizabeth James and Marie Branch and friend to many.
Marie was a first generation American, born to Giovanni and Natalina Farotto on June 6, 1933. She graduated from St. Alphonsus Rock High School in 1951 and was voted best dancer in her class. She married in 1956. She and her husband owned two restaurants, The Brass Lamp and later, The Shell Café. She loved cooking and, in her retirement she continued to cook for her parish priests and her family. She led a busy and happy life, took up yoga, was active in her garden, book and quilting clubs and traveled. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Services: Visitation at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church July 16 at 10:00 am until funeral mass at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Missouri Chapter at http://www.alz.org, or The American Diabetes Association- St. Louis Chapter; www.diabetes.org.
