It’s with a heavy heart that we share the news of Mildred Mary Lammert’s peaceful passing on October 25, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri. Born on March 8, 1937, in St. Louis, Mildred’s life was a testament to her compassion, service, and unwavering dedication to her family and others.
Mildred was known for her caring nature and generous spirit. She had a deep love for quilting—a craft that showcased her creativity and meticulous attention to detail. Her quilts were more than just fabric and thread; they were heartfelt gifts that brought warmth and comfort to those around her.
A devoted volunteer, Mildred gave much of her time to youth programs and hospitals, offering support and kindness to countless individuals over the years. Her commitment to helping others was a defining part of her life. Professionally, she retired from HEB in Houston, Texas, after years of dedicated work and community involvement.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Kenneth Matthew Lammert Sr., and their children: Kenneth Lammert Jr., Connie Barton, Sherry Johns Byrd, Debbie Lammert, and Brad Lammert. She also leaves behind her brother John Westermayer, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who will carry forward her legacy of kindness.
Mildred was preceded in death by her Father Clifford Westermayer Sr.; Mother Zelma Schirmer; stepmother Amelia Westermayer; stepfather Ed Schirmer and brother Clifford Westermayer Jr.
SERVICES: A visitation will be held on October 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Rd., St. Louis. A graveside burial will follow at St Peter and Paul cemetery.
Mildred’s life was one of quiet strength and unwavering dedication to family and community. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
