Graduated into the ranks of heaven as she was escorted through the heavenly gates Sunday morning, July 19, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Norval, who welcomed her home. Loving and nurturing mother of Linda Sue, (Jerry), Gary Dennis, (Diana), Diane Denise, (Walt), Patricia Ann, (Billy) Cynthia Louise (Jeff), Michael Ernest, (Ursula). She cherished her time with her family of six children along with her 20 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and she had two great-great grandchildren.
Norma is proceeded in death by her husband, Norval Land, her sister Shirley Cramer, and her brother-in-law Roy Cramer. She was born October 21, 1934 to Ralph and Irma Jones of St. Louis and graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis in 1952. When her high school sweetheart came home from the Korean war they wed in January 1953. Over the next 66+ years they raised a family, teaching them moral values and most importantly, the simple plan of salvation and what a Savior we have in the son of God and His saving work on the cruel cross.
Along with dogs, she loved feeding and watching birds. She enjoyed working in the yard and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed vacations to the beach and playing and watching her kids in the Florida sun and ocean. Once Norval retired from the St. Louis County police department, they moved to Winterhaven, Florida for 10 years before moving back to Missouri to be with an ailing brother-in-law. She was employed in various jobs, which she enjoyed because of the friends she made at Pope‘s cafeteria in West County, Mall, and Bemis Bag, as well as Footwear Unlimited in Valley Park. She will always be remembered as a sweet, kind, loving and soft spoken, Christian woman. She will be missed. She passed just three months before her 92nd birthday.
Services; A roadside service will be held at JB National Cemetery on Friday July 24th at 9AM. Family and friends will be meeting at Sylvan Springs park accross the street from the cemetery at 8:45AM
