Langella, Camillo J. “Tom”

Camillo “Tom” Langella entered into rest on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Beloved husband and best friend of  Dorothy J. Langella (nee Bucher); loving father of Kim (Jim Lay) Murray, Tom (Cara) Langella, Sue (Ken) Franklin, Linda (Keith) Ehlen, Tim (Tina) Langella and the late Danny Murray; cherished  grandfather of Dan, Nick, Ashley, Cody, Brittany, Jamie, Zack, Megan, Jeff, Ruth, Amber, Emily, Matt, Alex, Josh; great-grandfather of Dominick, Blake, Kameron, Mia, Rilley, Zoey, Lillian, Leah, Jessica, Desmond, Scarlet, Donnie, Gabe, Gus, Ernie and the late Daniel; son of the late Camillo Langella & Louise Langella (nee DeFusco); brother of Beverly Langella Bell and the late  Vincent Langella, Anthony Langella, Josephine Paolino, Albert Langella, Nick Langella; our dear brother-in-law, uncle great-uncle cousin and friend to many.

Born May 12^th, 1935 in Providence Rhode Island to the late Camillo Langella and Louise Langella (DeFusco) where he lived along side his six siblings until he enlisted in the USAF in 1955 and was stationed at Turkey Hill Radar Station outside of Scott AF Base near Bellville Illinois. In 1956 he was introduced to Dorothy Bucher who would later become his wife on September 14^th, 1957. After his discharge from the military he worked in grocery store management as a produce Manager while raising his five children. He enjoyed many things in life but the most important was his family. He was a loving Father who enjoyed coaching softball, fishing, gardening, working on cars, traveling or just about anything else that would allow him to spend time with his family. He was the proud Grandfather of fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was always a great laugh and had a sense of humor that was always a blessing to those around him. He retired from Local 655 in 1997 and then started a new chapter of his life volunteering with the VA at Jefferson Barracks where he operated the bowling alley. His connection with Veterans and Staff Members quickly became his extended family. He volunteered over 20,000 hours during his time as a volunteer and earned many awards including a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. He later played Boccia with the Cluster Busters Boccia team where he extended his family again as a member of the Gateway Chapter PVA.  He never lost his Love for all of his friends and family at the VA. He was blessed to have many talented Nurses, Doctors, Chaplains and many others to support him during his final days.  He entered into Glory at home on January 25^th, 2026 with his wife and children by his side.  He will be missed but never forgotten until we meet again in Glory.

Services: Visitation Thursday, February 12,  4-8 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd, then memorial service will be held at Kutis South County Chapel on Friday, February 13, 10:30 a.m. Burial J.B.
