David Micheal LaRue, 34 of Pevely MO born on July 26, 1990 was called home on August 8, 2024. David is survived by his mom, Debra LaRue (Will). His sister Elizabeth “Liz” Jordan (Nick), and two nieces. His daughter, Kinsley LaRue and her mother, Ashley Price. His grandmother, Carla Beers. His bonus family Paul and Susan Cernich. Rachel and Mike Dill, their children Logan, Ronan and Archer. Joshua Cernich, Kati Fincke and their daughter, Penelope. Ryan Cernich and Nicole Cernich. Also survived by many close friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Beers. David strived to be the best provider for his family. He spent the past 5 years as a truck driver loving every moment on the road. In his free time he enjoyed hanging out with his friends Brandon, Arron, Matt and Ryan. They all quickly became like brothers to David. Their love of firearms had them shooting their guns any chance they could. David also loved to cook, he was known for making the best steaks. His love of music and Trump showed through his surplus of Slipknot t-shirts and flags. His greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Kinsley. Together they would play with nerf guns, track the weather, and play Minecraft on his computer. They were always jamming in the car. When David was on the road his favorite thing was their nightly routine of talking on the phone, he wanted to know everything about what she did that day. Even during his time spent away David made it a priority to teach her how to be strong and encourage her to be brave. At the time of David’s passing he had worked very hard to build his arsenal of guns. The AR-15 being his proudest one. Among his collection there was a hot pink Cricket .22 shotgun that he bought for Kinsley, in hopes he could pass his love for guns down to her. These firearms were all given to his friends so they can carry on his memory.
Services: Funeral services will be held on Friday August 16, 2024, 11 am at Kutis Funeral Home on Butler Hill Rd in St. Louis County. David will be laid to rest at Shepherd Hills in Barnhart. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Illinois Recovery Center in honor of David LaRue to help save as many lives as possible. Visitation Thurs. 4-8 pm.
My deepest sympathies. I knew and worked with David at Estes Express lines. Easy guy to talk to and will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of David’s passing. From our few conversations about his life, I could tell he really loved his daughter. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and his family.
I’ve known David since grade school. My heart hurts for him and his family and friends. Rest easy dude.
You were always such a sweet, funny, and wonderful man! My deepest condolences to all your family, friends, and daughter. You’ll always be missed!
It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my dear friend, David LaRue . We first met while I was campaigning, drawn together by our shared experiences as truck drivers, but our bond grew even stronger through our love of politics, shooting, sport clay shooting, and the countless hours we spent on the phone while driving, night after night for years. David and I were not just brothers on the road; we were brothers, sharing our lives, our stories, our experiences and our conservative values.
David was a man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. His presence on the road, at the range, and in life made the journey richer for everyone around him. I will miss his stories, his laughter, and the genuine warmth he brought into my life and the lives of so many others. Rest in peace, my friend. Your memory will always ride with me.
Sorry to hear about David’s passing, worked with him for a short while but all my interaction with him were good ones. Such a tragedy for his family and friends. My condolences to you all.
