Passed away on Sunday, June 21st, 2026.
Beloved sweetheart of Amy Moran for 33 wonderful years; dearest son of the late Maurice and Josephine Laski; loving brother of Joseph (the late Marie) Laski, Jon (the late Beth) Laski, Joanne Laski Rothweiler, Jeffrey (Cheryl Winterbourne) Laski, and the late Jan “Mike” (Pat) Laski, Jerry (survived by Sandra) Laski, and Jim (survived by Judy) Laski.
Above all, he considered it one of his greatest privileges to be an uncle. As the youngest son of Josie and Maurice, he grew up alongside of several of his eleven nieces and nephews forging bonds that felt more like siblings. For the second half of life, his heart and family grew, happily welcoming seven more nephews and a niece.
He also leaves behind a large circle of cherished friends and extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made to Needy Paws Rescue (814 Hi Crest Drive, St. Louis, MO 63125) are greatly appreciated.
SERVICES: Visitation will be held at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO 63123) on Saturday, July 18th, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with memorial service beginning at 12:00 PM.

Wow what to say… I’ll miss you is enough to get choked up on. I barely got over a decade and it seems like a blink buddy! I feel like anyone whip knew Joel might agree that God didn’t make a better ear for listening. He was an all out amazing guy I could “cut-up“ and joke with about ANYTHING. So versed in many things and if you wanted to research something new , the next time we would talk I felt as if you memorized the brochure!! Joel was always eager and willing to help at the drop of a hat to anybody who would ask. I am so grateful that I was able to make your acquaintance and to get to call you, a friend. Angels get the best company.
I remember two 12 year old boys meeting in junior high school and had their whole lives ahead of them. Then those boys became old men but in between there was 50 plus years of wonderful memories and a great friendship. Always great times whether drinking a beer together or just having conversation. I’ll never forget the float trip we went on together during the fall season. I would give anything to have one more brewski together or just a long conversation. If there is the other side I hope I see you there at some point. Rest well my good friend and God bless you.
