Marie Elizabeth Laski (nee Murphy), age 86, of Saint Louis Missouri, passed away on April 11, 2026. She is survived by her husband Joseph M Laski Sr, children Joseph Laski Jr (Kathleen), Linda M Laski, and Laura Sackman (William), as well as grandchildren Kaitlyn Bextermueller (Brad) Joseph M Laski, Claire Sackman and Connor Sackman and great-grandchildren Ryan, Reed, and Rori Bextermueller. She is predeceased by her parents John J Murphy and Elsie Murphy (nee Keilbach) and brother William J. Murphy (Kathleen). Marie is a beloved sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Born September 7. 1939 in Saint Louis, Missouri, she was a member of Holy Family Church and matriculated from St. John the Baptist High School from which she maintained an ongoing monthly luncheon with her friends. After graduation she worked at Famous Barr downtown, and began a career in insurance at Prudential. She eventually became a licensed State Farm insurance representative, which she maintained until retirement.
Marie and Joseph married in 1961. In 1969 the family joined St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed supporting her children’s education and dabbled in many creative endeavors over the years. Joseph and Marie bought a condominium at the Lake of the Ozarks where they enjoyed many years with friends and family.
SERVICES: Visitation will be at Kutis Funeral Home on 04/20/2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a brief service. Burial to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
