In Loving Memory

Lattrace, Ruth Ann “Ruthie” (nee Corkery)

September 29, 1959 - April 28, 2026

Ruth Ann Lattrace, 66, of Affton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on September 29, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Ruth Corkery (Murray) and John Corkery. Ruth lived a life defined by genuine kindness, selflessness, and generosity—loving, joyful, one of a kind, and truly everyone’s biggest cheerleader.

She was known for her warm smile, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel comfortable and supported without judgment. Ruth was a friend to all and someone who never complained, always putting others before herself. She loved vacationing at Table Rock Lake with her whole family, laughing, “senior happy hours” with Sally and Greg, and drinking Coca Cola. She found a deep sense of purpose in helping others. She loved her career as an x-ray tech for 40 years. She was part of so many family and friend’s “villages,” helping with babysitting, and anything else she could do to make others lives easier.

Ruth shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Gregory, for over 42 years. She was the most selfless unconditionally loving mother and a proud grandmother. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren, Jackson and Heidi, who brought endless smiles and laughter into her life. “Rue Rue” cherished every moment spent with them.

She will be remembered for her warm and gentle spirit, her unconditional love for her family, and the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She was so easy to talk to. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and joy, and she will be deeply missed.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Gregory Lattrace; her daughters, Kelly Spitz (Eric) and Maggie Lattrace (Brendan McCandless); her beloved grandchildren, Jackson Spitz and Heidi Spitz; her sisters, Suzie Stevens and Reggie Dick; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and John Corkery, and her siblings, John Corkery, Steve Corkery, Mark Corkery, Peggy Corkery, and Timothy Corkery.
