In Loving Memory

Lautner, Nora Lee (nee McMullin)

April 29, 1926 - May 29, 2024

Lautner, Nora Lee

(nee McMullin) taken to her heavenly home on May 29, 2024 at 98 years of age. Nora was born on April 29, 1926 to Elmer and Bessie (Griffith) McMullin. Nora was one of five children that grew up in Walnut Park. She attended Peter Herzog grade school. Beaumont High School but transferred after her freshman year to Hadley Technical School where she graduated in 1945.

Nora met the love of her life Arthur E Lautner while attending high school and married in June of 1945. She was a stay -at- home mom raising her two children Richard E Lautner and Sandra L Chappuis. When their children began 8th grade, she began her working career at Curtiss Candy Company as a secretary.

Nora was a devoted member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church and after her husband passed the church asked Nora to work part-time as a receptionist, which she did happily for 15 years. It was an honor and she considered it a wonderful opportunity.

Nora moved to Our Lady of Life in 2003 where she made numerous friends. She never met a stranger and always offered a hug. While there she began the Red Hat Ladies where she took great pride in putting together luncheons and various outings. Nora also accepted a position as Resident Assistant at Our Lady of Life which she did for countless years.

Nora lived life to the fullest, always smiling and passing out those hugs to everyone she met.
