Layton, Darlene L. (Bellville) entered into rest Saturday, September 28, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Gary W. Layton, Sr. for over 55 years. Loving mother of Gary W. (Becky Richards) Layton, Jr. and Mindy (Ron) Kapeller; cherished grandmother of Casey (Daniel Ochsner) Layton, Kelsey (Nick) Montero, Ronald, Jr., Ryan and Randon Kapeller; our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunts, great-aunts, cousin and friend to many.

Services: Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel., 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., on Friday, October 4, 9:30 a.m. Burial Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8 p.m.

    We had a lot of good times making memories over the years. I being the willing one, you , not so much. None the less , you were a good sport following my lead!! I particularly remember the girls bus trips! ! I saw a side of you I didn’t know you had! !!! I think you had a pretty good time too! So today particularly I want to remember those days , when we let our hair down and joined the rest of the girls in the festivities Carry on, it’s time you continue on! I will miss you but one day we can pick up where we left off! Until then, I love you and will miss you! Your sister and partner in crime! Linda 🙏💕😥
