Robert James Learmont of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, two weeks shy of his 99th birthdayLearmont. Born on April 17, 1927, he was the beloved son of the late Walter Sr. and Josephine Learmont; loving brother of Walter Learmont and Mary Jane (John) Ciburk; and dearest uncle and great-uncle.
Robert was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, a proud alumnus of CBC, and a devoted Cardinals baseball fan. He lived in anticipation of winning that one last pennant. He greatly enjoyed visiting the St. Louis Zoo and had a special fondness for the snake house and the bird house. A devout Catholic, he loved his faith and lived by its teachings.
During his later years, Robert was loyally supported by his treasured friends from Cedarhurst and Epiphany of Our Lord Parish. His family is forever grateful for their loving presence in his life.
In addition to Mary Jane, Robert is survived by his nieces and nephew: Chris Anne Donaldson (Keith), Mary Jo Ciburk (Scott Babcock), John Ciburk Jr. (Carol), Cathy Ciburk, and Teri Swick (Jerry), as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Thursday, April 9 from 10:00 am. until Funeral Service time at 11:00 am. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the charity of your choice.
