In Loving Memory

Leibner, Carl Armand

December 22, 1933 - July 19, 2025

Carl Armand Leibner, 91, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 19th, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family and community.

Beloved husband of Patricia Ann Leibner (nee Lehman); devoted father of Callie (Scott) Kuhnert and Rob (Melissa) Atkinson; adoring grandfather of Anna Kuhnert and Ava and Isla Atkinson; dearest son of the late Erick and Elsie Leibner (nee Saulwesser); our dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.

Born on December 22, 1933, in St. Louis, Carl lived a life marked by service, integrity, and kindness. He proudly served his country during the Korean War and later pursued higher education, graduating from Washington University in 1955. In 1969, Carl became a licensed attorney, dedicating his professional life to public service—first with the Farm Credit Bureau and later with the State of Missouri.

Carl had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed fine food, a well-crafted martini, the occasional cigar, and cheering on his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. But more than anything, Carl cherished time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle—gentle, humble, and quietly generous in all that he did.

Those who knew Carl will remember him as a truly good man, a humble servant of life who led with grace and compassion. In a world that often forgets the power of quiet kindness, Carl stood as a reminder of its enduring strength.

He was too good for this world—and he will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Parkinson’s Foundation are greatly appreciated.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Tuesday, August 5th 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, then processing to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for interment.
