Leimberg, Carol Ann (nee Pelly)

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Thursday, February 25, 2021.  Born December 20, 1936, she was the middle of five children.  She was predeceased by her parents, John and Esther, her sister Jean Simon, and her brothers, Jack and Jimmy. Carol is survived by her children Diane (Steve) Watson, Carolyn (Jim) Rooney, Robert (Kalen) Leimberg, Marybeth Leimberg and Kathleen (Scott) Garazin. She was a beloved Grandmother to John (Karen) Watson, Emily (Matt) Androff, Matthew (Amanda) Rooney, Katie (Justin) Southard, Michael (Kelly) Rooney, Kimberly Rooney, Ryan Rooney, Sally (David) Bender, Danny Leimberg, Jeremy (Stephanie) Brown, Tyler (Anne) Florich-Brown, Ryan Leimberg, Isabelle Leimberg, Megan Garazin and Amanda Garazin. Beloved Great-grandmother to Grant and Cole Watson, Evelyn and Meredith Androff, Owen and Emrie Southard, Kayla Rooney, Cayson Rooney, Lilly Bender.  She is also survived by her beloved brother Jerome (Linda) Pelly, her sisters-in-law Shirley Pelly (Jack, deceased) and Gloria (Raoul) Zacher. She was Godmother to her nieces Barb Loeb and Margie Unwer, and beloved aunt, cousin and friend to many.

After working at Banquet Foods/Con Agra and retiring from the St. Louis Archdiocese, she enjoyed spending time playing with her grandchildren, visiting family and traveling with her brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Linda, across the United States and Europe.

We appreciate the services and care she received at Our Lady of Life, Mother of Perpetual Help and Laclede Groves.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00am from St. Anthony of Padua, where she graduated from grade school and high school. She remained lifelong friends with the girls from St. Anthony grade school, getting together every June for a mini reunion.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mental Health America of Eastern Missouri. (1905 S. Grand Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63104) (Here’s a link to make a donation.)
