Leonard, David Thomas
March 29,1965 – June 9, 2026
Baptized into the Hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
David is survived by his stepmother, Kathern (Kate) Leonard, sister Catherine Goldberg, brother James (Rebecca), and twin sister Diane (Sheri); uncle of Ryan, Lauren (Napoleon), Christina (Adam), Gregory, Sarah (Caleb); great uncle of Jude, Peter, Gianna, Charles (Charlie), Eleanor (Nellie).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judith (Judy) and Robert (Bob) Leonard. He was reunited in eternal rest with them.
David suffered a traumatic brain injury at the age of 21 but never complained about the limitations he endured. He was a great athlete before his accident, playing baseball and soccer with St. Simon’s CYC. David loved spending time with his family; especially his great nephews/nieces. He will always be remembered for his kindness toward others (never had a bad word to say about anyone and just went with the flow) and a smile on his face.
Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel Friday, June 19th 4-8 PM. Funeral Service on Saturday, June 20th at 10:30 AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to:
The Brain Injury Foundation of St. Louis or The BackStoppers, Inc.
