Lewandowski, Shirley M., (nee Schwartz), age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Shirley was born January 17, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in Heaven by her husband, Raymond F. Lewandowski (2004), daughther Kay Marie (1958), granddaughter Jessica (2002) and sister Alvera (2003). She is survived by her sons Michael (Julie), Timothy (Laura), and Daniel (Kate) and daughther Peggy Agnew; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Shirley loved spending time with family and friends, gardening and holiday celebrations. Shirley was a traditional homemaker putting love, caring, kindness, self-sacrafice, laughter and dedication into our home and lives every day. She was a compassionate, thoughtful, and generous person, a devoted wife, mother, and friend who always put others before herself. “To know her was to love her”.
Shirley’s Celebration of Life will be held at St. Mathias Catholic Church, 796 Buckley Road, on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10:00 am. followed by burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday October 6, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, from 4:00-6:00 pm. The family sends their thanks to the caring and compassionate nurses and staff at Bethesda Southgate and Bethesda Hospice Care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Smile Train.

So very sorry for your loss. Don’t know if ya’ll know, Your Aunt Pat and Uncle Joe passed away in January of this year. We were not sure how to get a hold of any remaining family. Please take care.
