César Alfonso Lima, 35, of Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on September 8, 2026. He was taken from us far too soon, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and countless people who loved him dearly.
César was born in Guatemala and later came to Arnold, Missouri. He attended Fox Middle School and went on to Fox High School, where he made many friendships that would become lasting and meaningful throughout his life.
After high school, César began working and building a life for himself. He worked as a mechanic at Firestone, where he developed connections with many people and was always able to make those around him feel welcome. He also discovered his passion for fast cars. César worked incredibly hard to buy the car parts he wanted, spending countless hours building his cars. It was something he truly enjoyed and took great pride in.
Thankfully, his cousin was able to help him find an opportunity with Ace Contracting, and from there, César’s life took an amazing turn. He became a proud member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters through the Union, a chapter of his life that brought him so much happiness and pride. He learned valuable life skills, built lifelong friendships, and became part of a brotherhood that extended far beyond the workplace. The people he met through the different Locals became more than coworkers—they became family.
César was a humble, kind-hearted man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He had a heart that cared deeply for others, and if you knew César, you knew his smile. Even during his hardest moments, he could light up a room with a smile from ear to ear. You would never know when he was having a bad day because he always found a way to make others feel good.
He was sweet, caring, generous, and loved by so many. César had a way of leaving an impression on the people he met, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Our beloved César leaves behind his mother, his brother, his daughters, and a son who was soon to arrive. While the pain of losing him is unimaginable, may his family find the strength, resilience, and peace to carry his memory with them each and every day.
César may no longer be with us in person, but the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he left behind will live on forever. May he rest peacefully, knowing how deeply he was loved.
