Loyd, Tracey M. (nee Maxey) Tuesday November 23, 2021. Loving mother of Brendan (Paige) Loyd and the late Joshua Loyd. Dear partner of Maurice “Mo” Hails and bonus mom to his daughters Ashlie and Marcie Hails. Loving “mother” to furry friend Lucy. Dear daughter of Reba and the late Carl Maxey Sr. Dear sister of Diane (Steve) Clayton, Lisa (Robert) Driskill, Sandra “Winnie” (Robert) Higgins and the late Carl Maxey Jr. Former wife of Steven Loyd. Our dear aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.
Tracey was a hard-working, top sales agent for Kemper Life and was beloved by her clients. She was an avid crafter and enjoyed surprising her clients, family, and friends with handmade gifts. She loved to give rather than receive. Tracey was also an activist devoted to ending the opioid epidemic. There was nothing Tracey loved more than her children and she was overjoyed to help plan, decorate, and witness the wedding of her son, Brendan, this past July. Tracey could cater an army and took pleasure in entertaining. She also enjoyed taking day trips to Amish country, where she developed several friendships.
Services: Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd on Thursday, December 2nd at 12 pm. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, December 1st from 4 to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of her late son, Joshua Loyd to The Next Step (www.thenextstepstl.org)
