  13. Gigi was a warm, special person who made the family dinners that I attended even more special with her warm reception of a new person to the family. She was always kind and friendly and never had a bad word to day. I saw her open and honest relationship with her family in the same way I saw her approach her life. When my son sold her home so she could move to New Orleans, she was pleasant and respectful and a good listener and did a great job supporting the sell which of course was a big transition for her life. As the 1st wife of my new husband, never once was she anything but supportive of me and my role in the family. I appreciated her and saw within her true kindness to me and I appreciated that and her great love for her children which was obvious. Even her trip aka move to New Orleans was postured around her need to show them what she could be. It was important to her. On the day after she died, I drove to Fenton to pick up some bar stools and in the parking lot of the place were Pennies, so many pennies, and I smiled. I was sure that was just Pennies from Heaven from Gigi (who retired from Penney’s some time back) so that I could tell everyone that she had made it home just fine as I was sure she would as she had been an angel to me for some time. I will miss Gigi. I thought she was a great grandmother and a beautiful person. I am sorry for her loss. While the Heavens shine brighter with her there, I am sure that the Light in her family dimmed with her loss.
