With deep sadness, we announce the passing of David Alan Mackay, 73, of St. Louis, Missouri, who passed away on February 3, 2026.
Dave was a proud member of the IBEW local one, dedicating more than 40 years of service as a journeyman wireman and local officer while building lifelong friendships along the way. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved animals, and cherished his family, spending many days at the lake, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Dave had a generous heart and was always willing to give to the people and causes that mattered most to him.
Dave is survived by his daughter, Shannon Mackay; granddaughters Layla Mackay-Coffman and Penelope Wise; brother, Gary Mackay; sister, Marsha (Bob) Daly. He will also be missed by all of his nieces, nephews, and cousins to whom he was very special. Dave was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dave Mackay and Shirley Zehner Mackay and sister-in-law Cheryl Jones Mackay.
Family and friends are invited to honor Dave’s life during a visitation on February 9, 2026, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held on February 10, 2026, at 12:00pm at Kutis South County Chapel. Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
