Rita E. Maddock
Rita E. Maddock, 72, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026, at Nazareth Living Center. She was born on March 19, 1954, to the late Earl W. and late Catherine C. Maddock.
Rita was a life-long Catholic and had a special devotion to the rosary. She had a long and successful career as a legal secretary.
Rita is survived by her siblings Clare (late Gary) Ernst, Kenneth (Susan) Maddock, Rosemarie (Kenneth) Karcher and William Maddock; her 4 nieces, Kelli Maddock, Ashley (Roger) Payne, Grace Karcher and Emily Karcher; her 2 great nephews RJ Payne and Gary Jo Maddock Niqara and niece Mara Payne.
Visitation is Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129.
Funeral Services are Friday, July 31, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. with a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at Mary Mother of the Church, 5901 Kerth Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. Immediately after Mass we will go to Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 10180 Gravois Road, Affton, MO 63123 for Interment and a Gravesite Service, followed by a luncheon at Mary Mother of the Church. All are welcome to join us.
My thoughts and prayers are with Rita’s family and friends. I worked with her at Evans & Dixon for a long time.
I knew Rita for such a short time and yet she made a deep impression upon me. Her smile said “welcome.” My prayers are with you, her family. May God’s love surround you at this difficult time.

To all of you who loved Rita, my deepest sympathy. I was a legal secretary at the firm of Evans and Dixon and always considered it a blessing to have known her. Rita was devoted to her work and was a very faithful employee of the firm. Over the years, she took me to two St. Louis Rams games and I took her to one St. Louis Cardinals playoff game. Things were not going well for the Cardinals that night and Rita took out her rosary and began to pray! Even though it has been a number of years since I have spoken to Rita or seen her, I have often thought about her. She was truly one of a kind and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to get to know her. God bless you, Rita. Tell Betsy Levitt Kathy says hi when you see her in heaven.
Rita was my St Louis Rams buddy (PSL) owner for over 10 years. Our names are on the outside of the Dome. We had a great time going to the games and then she won the lottery to attend and buy tickets for the Super Bowl so we went to New Orleans to cheer them on. What an event and memories! We also shared the St Louis Tip Toppers together and did many activities and club meetings together. Rita and I had a special bond. You will be missed, God bless you Rita!
