Dennis Maguire1

In Loving Memory

Maguire, Dennis James

July 27, 1960 - January 12, 2024

Dennis James Maguire, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away unexpectantly on January 12, 2024. He was 63 years old.
Dennis was born on July 27, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the second son to Donald and Delores Maguire (nee Baier). Dennis graduated from St. Mary’s High School and took pride in playing on the school’s ice hockey team alongside his brother. He worked for Nordyne for over ten years before having his first open heart surgery. After going back to school, he received his HVAC certification. His career plans were altered due to having his second and third open heart surgeries, the last being considered a miracle by his doctors. His faith was unshakable and he attended mass at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church. Dennis loved to read, providing him with a wealth of knowledge which he happily shared. There was not a mechanical device that he could not repair. One of his pleasures was visiting various resale shops and finding treasures. But his greatest treasure were his sons.
Dennis is survived by his mother Delores Maguire, his two sons Dennis Maguire and Joseph Maguire, stepson James Berberich, his sisters Deborah (Mike) Lydon, Denise (Ron) Waller, and Diana (Dan) Lemmon-Barry, and the mother of his sons Carla Berberich.
He was predeceased by his father, Donald James Maguire in 2023 and his brother, Donald Joseph Maguire in 2018.
Besides being a father, son, and brother; he was a brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, nephew, godfather, and friend to many. He was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
Visitation is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with Memorial Service following on Saturday, February 3rd at Kutis Funeral Home Affton Chapel, (10151 Gravois Rd). In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3140 Meramec St., St. Louis, Mo 63118
