Mahne, Harriet L.

December 3, 1937 - October 24, 2025

On Friday, October 24, 2025.  Beloved wife of the late Kenneth for 63 years; loving mother to Ken (Cyndi) Mahne, Gail (Brad) Gray, Doug (Risa) Mahne and the late Sharon Mahne; dear grandma of Brandon (Ashley), Kimberly (Mike), Eli and Scarlet; great-grandma of Jack, Vivian, Teddy, Margot, and Erin; sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. 

Harriet worked as an administrative assistant in the insurance industry where she enjoyed helping people. She was known for her smile and friendliness. After retiring, she added floral assistant to her resume, helping prep flowers for her family’s floral business. She loved painting ceramics, spending time at the swimming pool, going to the casino to play slots, watching the game show network, and playing games like dominoes, 5 Crowns and other card games with her family and friends. She brought smiles to those around her and will be missed by many.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Sunday, November 2 from 4:00-7:00 PM. Then Monday, November 3, 9:30 AM to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (Ringer Rd.) for 10 AM Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.  

In leiu of flowers donations can be made in her name to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital. www.stjude.org

  1. Harriet was such a nice lady. We meet Harriet and Gail at MH lunch and bingo. It was a pleasure to spend a few hours every month with Harriet and Gail. RIP

    Harriet was an incredibly kind and generous woman with a smile that would light up the room. We are lucky to have known her and to have enjoyed her wonderful company. Such a wonderful woman.

  6. Ken, Gail & Doug, I’m very sorry about Harriet. Our family has many wonderful memories of your mom and dad through the years. They were special friends of my sister Donna Handshy & John Hose. I remember your mom’s wonderful laugh. She was very energetic too. Fun to be around. She will be missed. With deepest sympathy, Susan Handshy.

  7. Ken, We enjoyed having your Mom in our ceramic classes. She was a lot of fun and she made great friends. I hope you still have all of the pieces that she made. So sorry to hear of her passing but know she is resting with your Dad.
