Edward-Mann

In Loving Memory

Mann, Edward

It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Mann announce his passing on November 14, 2021.

Ed was born in Ft. Leonard  Wood, MO to Arthur Edward Mann and Helen (Briggs) Mann Morrow.  He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father (Joe Morrow) and his sister, Lisa Marie Mann.

Ed was married for nearly 33 years to Cheri (Dieckhaus) Mann and was the father of Katherine (Katie) Mann.  He will be sorely missed by his wife and his daughter who love him so very much.

Being a Dad was the greatest joy of Ed’s life.  He was the best Dad to a daughter ever.  They shared a love of sports (if he wasn’t coaching Katie in a sport, then he was on the sidelines rooting her on), Star Wars movies and a wide variety of music.

Ed is survived by his sister, Christine Mann, and her sons, Jamie, Nick and Jacob.

He was the loving brother-in-law to Donna and Jim Birch and Mitchell Dieckhaus and Dale Ann Brown.  He was a loving uncle to Karri and Adam Mallette and their son, Mavik; to Hannah Dieckhaus and her son, Braidon; and to Klayton Birch and Allison Borawski and their son, Gavin.

Ed loved being an uncle and enjoyed the life, love and laughter the young members of the family brought to his life.

Ed will be missed by a multitude of other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Ed was a life-long Iowa Hawkeyes fan and a converted St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan.  He loved sports and if there was a game on he would likely be watching.

We will celebrate Ed’s life with an informal gathering on December 12th, 2021 at Helen Fitzgerald’s restaurant in Sunset Hills, MO.  Please feel free to stop by anytime from noon until 3 PM for time to raise a glass in Ed’s honor and share a memory or two with his family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association are preferred.

Thank you for your caring thoughts, prayers and support at this difficult time.

Condolences
