Maranzana

In Loving Memory

Maranzana, Deborah Rae

March 31, 1951 - October 11, 2024

With peace in our hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah Rae Maranzana (Quinn) of St. Louis, Missouri on October 11th, 2024 after a ten year journey with dementia. Our adored wife, sister, cousin, mom & nana has gone to heaven to be our angel. Born March 31st, 1951, Debby was a beautiful, vivacious, brown eyed redhead spitfire who always had to have her “eyes” (mascara) on. She loved music, dancing, anything with sparkles, believed in aliens & got excited about finding pennies from heaven. She was an amazing big sister to her brother Michael Quinn and was as close as a big sister to her cousin Sherry Don Adams (Dehner). She met her husband Gene Maranzana in 1972 while working at Anheuser Busch. Together they had son Matthew Maranzana (M’Aggie)& daughter Holly Meyer (Maranzana) (Rob). Debby & Gene loved to go out with their friends, travel & spend time with their kids & 8 grandchildren; Leo, Laine, Lillian Maranzana & Emma, Ella, Ava, Alex, Easton Meyer. 73 years was not enough time with her but we are thankful God chose us to be in her life. She loved her family fiercely. We all carry special memories of her & will always have her with us in our hearts. Send us pennies, Mom🩷

  1. Happy memories of our annual luncheon at the Etzels after Thanksgiving – you were always so proud of filling us in on Holly’s growing family. We had fun as Girl Scout Moms – glad you are at peace!

  2. I will forever hold in my heart happy memories of Debby. An Aries spitfire who loved to giggle and gossip. I remember excited as teens to listen to her new Beach Boys album. I remember convertibles and fun a little later and lots of Steak & Shake nights cruising. When she and Gene got married we met in Disney World with Holly and Matt in tow. Little kids then. But fun times and many many letters to look back on after I moved from St. Louis. She was a dear friend who will be missed but she’s singing with the angels now as she did so many years ago as an alto in Mr. Buffalo’s A Capella class! Rest in peace and save me a seat next to you again.❤️😎🎶🥂🍊🏖

  3. I work at the nursing home that Deb resided at. Although she could not verbally communicate, she was good at making facial expressions and chuckling. I could tell she was a very nice woman. One of the most noticeable things about Deb were her big bright eyes. It was a pleasure to know her. She will be missed. My deepest condolences to Matt, Holly, and the rest of the family. She is at peace. May Deb’s memory be a blessing. May she rest in peace.
