Beloved wife for 58 years of Donald Martin; loving mother of Lisa and Donnie (Kimberly) Martin; dear grandmother of Donald “Andy”, Shelby and Cameron; dear sister of Lorene Dowdy and Eva McGinness; preceded in death by her parents John and Katie Dowdy; 1 sister Evelyn Elmore;  2 bothers John, Jr and Pvt. James Ray Dowdy; dear sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

Angie was a 1962 graduate of the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Jewish Hospital (St. Louis), St. Louis State Hospital, San Diego Mental Health, Scripps Hospital and Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL 10151 Gravois, Saturday May 29, 9:00 AM. Interment Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Shrines Hospital for Children appreciated. Visitation Friday 4:00-8:00 PM.

  3. She was a live wire full of energy. I enjoyed working with her at San Diego County Mental Health in the mid-1980’s. She will certainly be missed by all of us who knew her.
