  1. Cotton was a long-time friend and teammate during our junior high and high school days together. At our graduation in 1966, he was voted the “best athlete” of the class of ’66 by the faculty and staff. He certainly deserved the honor. I have often thought of him over the years and wish his family and our mutual friends the very best in his memory.

  2. I will never forget the relationship I had with Jim my “good buddy.”
As a laborer there is no stronger relationship between trades than with an operator who you spend countless hours day in and out digging ditches and holes, taking breaks and lunch together, the endless hours of conversations.
It was like a symphony with me and Jim we knew each others next move I trusted him every second I was in a dig with him, and I missed every second I was not in a dig with him.

I will never forget you Jim, you were one of my best buddies and I Pray as our heavenly father has received you into his Kingdom he sends grace, healing and understanding to your family and friends as I know you will be missed, I love ya buddy,
Until we meet again Jim I’ll see ya on the other side I’ll bring my shovel
