In Loving Memory

Massey, Bonnie Lee

With dignity and grace, surrounded by her children, Bonnie Lee Massey began a new chapter in Heaven free of lung cancer. Born in St. Louis to Frederick and Helen Arthur on February 22, 1942. A graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School, she began a teaching career and soon met and married Robert T. Gammon of St. Louis. Bonnie is survived by two sons of this marriage, Robert T. Gammon, Jr. of St. Louis and Eric (Patricia) Gammon of Houston, TX.

The marriage ended and Bonnie married her soulmate, Carl Albert, and became mother to Cindi, Carla, and Chris. She is survived by Cindi and Carla. The marriage tragically ended, and true to his word, God sent her Donald F. Massey of St. Louis, who preceded her in death. She is survived by Frank, Willie, Donna, and her faithful angel Diana.

The world has changed for all who knew her. There are many words that can be used to define her life. Among those words are caring, devoted, faithful, generous, and a Believer of Jesus Christ. Bonnie also leaves to mourn and is survived by brothers Ronald (Shirley) Arthur, Robert (Cora) Arthur, brother in law Michael Hines, and Tessie Moncada. Bonnie follows her best friend and confidant, sister Jacqueline Hines, who left just weeks ago, and her brothers Frederick Jr. and Donald Arthur. Bonnie was blessed with many grandchildren, Danny, Robert, Andrew, and Eric as well as numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bonnie’s written request was to forego any formal services upon her passing. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Kutis Funeral Home is handling her arrangements.
