William G. (Bill) Masterson, age 82, passed away at Mercy Hospital South on Saturday, August 22nd. He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Mary Jo (Kiehne) Masterson. Father of Michael (dec), David, Mark and Kathy. Grandfather of Abby (Brandon Pate), Andrew, Asher, and Ezra Masterson, and Ella and Ethan Alexander. Father-in-law of Mary Lee Moore and Adam Alexander. Dear son of Delbert (dec) and Juanita (LaCroix) Masterson (dec), and brother of Warren (dec).
Bill was born in St. Louis and raised in Cape Girardeau, MO. He graduated from Notre Dame High School and Semo University. Bill worked in computer technology at Western Electric in Chicago, Missouri Utilities in Cape Girardeau, and Ameren Electric in St. Louis. He enjoyed coaching his sons in baseball and his daughter in softball. He loved to travel, read, deer hunt, and ride his Harley. He will be forever missed.
Services: Visitation on Friday, August 28, 2026 10:00 AM until Mass at 11:00 AM at Mary Mother of the Church (5901 Kerth Road). Interment at St Mary’s Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. Service of Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry Road).

We were so sad to hear of your dear husband’s passing. We are sorry that we couldn’t attend the visitation and Mass to honor Bill, today. We are currently in Dublin , Ohio visiting Mike Jr. and his family.
Our prayers are with you as you celebrate Bill’s life, mourn his passing, and comfort each other with sweet memories of times spent together.
